Homes with big windows are such a joy for bird watching, but they can be deadly for the birds we love. Birds typically hit windows during the daytime for one of two reasons. One, they are fooled by the reflection of trees and open space; or two, they see their own reflection and strike the window in an attempt to fight off the imagined competitor.
